IHS General Meeting with 5 partner NGO’s on 24-11-16 in Shariatpur

In presence of its shareholders from the Netherlands (Gerald Holtvluwer and Maarten van Middelkoop) IHS held its General Meeting with 5 partner NGO’s at the training centre SDS in Shariatpur.

In the GM the partner NGO’s presented their progress in house building in 2016. Not less than 580 new houses will be built this year! After that Willem Gees gave a presentation about the cooperation with the 5 partner NGO’s. A total of 2.400 houses will be reached by the end of 2016! In 2017 IHS plans to continue the program on the same level. A great achievement and special attention was given to the timely repayment, which assures the sustainability of our cooperation! IHS is proud that together we achieved a 100% repayment.

After lunch, all attention was given to the innovation of IHS for 2017: the production of ecological CSEB blocks! A demonstration of the CSEB’s production clearly explained the different steps of the process, with crushing, mixing and pressing of the blocks shown by our production team. The ecological CSEB blocks impress the PNGOs and they want to build demonstration house in their NGO.

The GM concluded with the Award Ceremony 2016. Because of the good work and the commitment to the code of practice of IHS, SDS received the Award of Excellence. Our other partner NGO’s also put in good work but on some aspects improvement is needed, but IHS hopes to give more awards at the next general meeting.
